How Does It Work?"I have been using Trash Monitor Plus to monitor and dispatch pickups for my waste compactors at various hotel properties around the country since 1990. In every instance the properties have saved large sums of money by eliminating unnecessary compactor pull charges thereby improving profitability. We were (in each situation) literally throwing money away before hiring Trash Monitor Plus as our dispatch service. I would recommend Trash Monitor Plus to anyone currently using regularly scheduled waste hauling who wishes to save a good deal of money with little effort or investment."
Director of Facilities, Trash Monitor Plus™ consists of a fiberglass, lockable enclosure which is UL Listed and has a NEMA 4X rating which signifies a watertight and dust-tight seal for use in a wash-down environment. The enclosure houses Trash Monitor Plus's proprietary circuit/power board which contains “status” LED’s and provides 12 volts of power to the wireless radio/processor board which can be easily removed from the circuit/power board. All four (4) wires from Trash Monitor Plus’s device connect to the compactor control panel including the wire, which provides electrical power to the device. Because Trash Monitor Plus’s device can derive its electrical power from the compactor control panel, no additional electrical source is needed. A 5000 PSI pressure transducer is also located within the enclosure and is connected to the compactor “high pressure” hydraulic hose. Pressure transducers with higher ratings can easily be used if needed. The pressure transducer constantly sends data to the processor board which, when the compactor is running, records and stores the pressure during the cycle. The compactor data stored on Trash Monitor Plus’s device is backed up by a rechargeable battery which will preserve the data for at least three (3) days. Several antenna types can be connected to the radio including two antenna types that remain concealed within the enclosure. A larger “gain” antenna can be mounted on the top, outside portion of the closure if needed. Twenty-four hours a day, the Trash Monitor Plus™ System accurately tracks such compactor functions as pressures levels, cycle time, time of operation, and usage. The device can be polled at any time for delivery of real time data. The device can also be configured to automatically report data up to three (3) times per day. Trash Monitor Plus trained waste industry specialists then review the data and contact the waste hauler to schedule a pickup. What ongoing onsite maintenance or calibration is required? None. Once the Trash Monitor Plus System is attached to the compactor, it requires no onsite maintenance and can be wirelessly configured to alter the times when it automatically reports data to our server. 1 800 275-6646 trashmonitorplussales@wm.com |
